OUR PROJECTS
YACKLEY ROAD BRIDGE + RETAINING WALLS
Dietzler constructed a new wastewater lagoon for the Town of Yoder, Wyoming to expand its existing wastewater capacity. The project consisted of major improvements to the existing wastewater system, significant earthwork, installation of lagoon liners, riprap, access roads, pump facilities and fencing.
YODER WASTEWATER LAGOON
Dietzler Construction contracted with Larimer County to build three new box culverts on West Creek that had failed during the 2013 flood. The project was particularly challenging due to limited site access. Dietzler Construction utilized its patent protected water diversion and control system with great success to surface flows in the tight channel and keep work areas dry for the duration of the project. DCC's water control efforts were well received and recognized by the County and State for its innovation. The project also included significant riprap placement and stream restoration efforts.
WEST CREEK BRIDGE REPAIRS
The Illinois Department of Transportation awarded this project to furnish and install noise abatement walls along I-55 from U.S. Route 30 to Weber Road. The furnish and install contract included 2.5 miles of a ground structure mounted noise barrier wall, reinforced concrete shaft foundations and significant groundwater control. At the time of award, it was the largest noise wall contract ever awarded in Illinois.
I-55
NOISE WALLS
Dietzler Construction was selected by the Owner to construct the East Side Detention Facility's flood control dam based off Dietzler's qualifications and experience in dam construction, its water control and dewatering plans and its ability to provide significant value-engineering savings to the owner on the cost-sensitive project. The project included the construction of a 1.5 mile flood control embankment dam consisting of over 400,000 CY of cut and fill, 10,000 CY of riprap and grouted riprap, roadway reconstruction, drainage improvements and over 2,000 CY of structural concrete in various water control structures.
EAST SIDE DETENTION FACILITY
The Wyoming Department of Game and Fish contracted with Dietzler Construction to construct a fish barrier drop structure on the Big Sandy River to stop invasive aquatic species from migrating upstream. The project was completed ahead of schedule despite a shortened construction season and unusually high river flows. DCC proposed several valuable engineering ideas to drive cost out of the project and bring the project budget within the Department's reach. The project included the construction of a small embankment, new wetland features and over 400 CY of concrete.
BIG SANDY FISH BARRIER
The Wyoming Dept. of Transportation awarded Dietzler Construction its 2015 District 2 bridge rehabilitation project, which included partial and full depth repairs, joint replacements, silica flume overlays and other major and minor repair items on five state bridges located throughout central Wyoming.
DISTRICT 2 BRIDGE REHABILITATIONS
The Federal Highway Administration contracted with Dietzler Construction to remove and replace six bridges utilizing newer construction methods including GRS-IBS abutments. The FHWA showcased the project to agencies throughout the United States, highlighting the innovative construction methods utilized. Project features also included the reconstruction of approximately six miles of aggregate roadway, retaining wall construction, micropiles, aggregate engineering and production, extensive water control efforts, including grout cut-off walls and Dietzler's patent-protected water control system to minimize construction impact on the class 1 waterway, and bridge approach reconstruction at Devil's Tower National Monument.
SAND CREEK
ROAD
The Village of Hodgkins awarded this reinforced earth retaining wall project to allow for the construction of the planned Continental Toyota. The constructed wall was over 30 feet in height, included a storm trap retention system and leveled the large site to make it suitable for a large car dealership.
CONTINENTAL TOYOTA
Dietzler Construction was selected to perform emergency repairs to an existing dam, providing drinking water for the City of Pueblo, near the continental divide at over 11,000 feet elevation. The mountainous location and high altitude made construction conditions difficult. The project was substantially complete in less than three months, earning DCC a project bonus and placing the dam in operation nine months ahead of schedule. Project features included the construction of a new CIP outlet works, a CIP emergency spillway, on-site aggregate production and the reconstruction of a geosynthetic lined embankment.
IVANHOE DAM EMERGENCY REPAIRS
The Federal Highway Administration contracted with Dietzler Construction to replace an existing single-lane steel bridge spanning the Colorado River. The new two-lane concrete bridge was founded on large diameter drilled shafts, concrete piers and has a concrete deck with asphalt overlay. Phased construction was required to allow for continuous traffic flow over the river and avoid significant and prolonged roadway detours. Major project elements included a large MSE wall, shoring of the roadway embankment with micropiles, riprap placement and winter protection.
RED DIRT BRIDGE
Dietzler Construction was selected by the Wheatland Irrigation District to rehabilitate two aging dams outside Laramie, Wyoming. Work included excavation and removal of the existing outlet works, the installation of modern gate structures and outlet works, riprap and access road improvements.
KING + DUTTON RESERVOIRS
Dietzler Construction was selected by Anheuser-Busch LLC to lower its 24" waste effluent line that conflicted with planned public improvements within the County ROW. The lowering had to be achieved while keeping the nearby brewery in 24-hour operation and allowed for a very limited tie-in period. The work was completed in difficult conditions that included sub-zero temperatures, a deep excavation and significant groundwater.
ANHEUSER-BUSCH EFFLUENT LINE
Dietzler Construction was selected to construct a water well field and construction pipeline system feeding a large water facility serving the oil and gas industry. The project was comprised of over 15 miles of water collection lines, control valves, access roads, a loadout facility and various ancillary structures.
